Bishop Martin Gächter installed Fr. Antonio Enerio of the Society of the Divine Word Missionaries, as the new chaplain of the Philippine Catholic Mission in Switzerland in a mass held on 23 September 2012 at the Erlöser Church in Zürich.
The installation mass, which was attended by over four hundred people, was presided by Bishop Martin Gächter and concelebrated by several priests.
In his message, Bishop Martin expressed appreciation for the support of the Philippine Embassy in Berne to the Philippine Catholic Mission and commended its efforts in unifying the diverse Filipino groups in Switzerland. He lauded the Philippine Embassy’s partnership with the catholic community in Switzerland that manifests the complementarity between church and state.
The Philippine Embassy in Berne led the Filipino community in welcoming Fr. Enerio.
